xxoo,
First off, I want to send a big shout out to my loving husband for bringing home a bag of
mini "Twix" candy bars and bag of
"Truffle Chex Mix"
right before dinner.
Ah #1
--I didn't get my workout in today thanks to the 18 inches of snow that was dumped on us.
#2
--I'm really trying to re-train my taste buds to loathe that stuff. Really I am. Surprisingly I didn't dog the stuff beyond remembrance. Yup that's right...typically I would eat tasty treats bit by bit and not even realize that I polished it off. I would swing open the cabinet, look into the snack shelf and say, "now I know I had another container of yogurt covered pretzels left." Another shout out for my friend Kelly for getting me hooked on those babies!
My husband thought it was interesting that many women have relationships with their food. I have a love hate relationship with it. Feelings of boredom, loneliness, anger, sadness, happiness, celebration, ect...can drive us to either cook/eat a good meal or snack the mess out of something temptress.
Since I've been working out more, I think twice about what I eat. Heck...I work way hard to burn off 300+ calories each session. Plus if I know I'm not in total control, I just don't by it or allow myself a "cheat" day if need be.
So this brings me to my list of comfy foods.
Cereal
Blackberries
Strawberries
Bread-n-Butter
Yogurt & Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Notice the pattern? Everything has a sweet taste to it.
Not too bad...
What are yours?
Niki
